KZN disaster relief coverage
Hope SA urgently needs your support for disaster relief efforts. We are raising funds to purchase essential supplies such as food, baby products, and pet necessities, as well as to cover transportation and delivery costs to distribute aid from Johannesburg to the affected areas in KZN, over 600 km away.
We have established collection points around Johannesburg for local contributions. In addition to these donations, we urgently need monetary support to help us fully achieve our mission. This is an immediate appeal, as our nation cannot afford to wait for government-organized disaster relief.
Our distribution efforts include:
Daily food drives in Johannesburg, providing 400 hot meals, food hampers, PPE, and blankets to communities in Diepsloot, Alberton, Tembisa, Brixton, Fietas, Rondebult, Actonville, Coronationville, Windmill Park, and surrounding areas.
In Pietermaritzburg and Durban, we serve Reservoir Hills, Phoenix, Verulam, Tongaat, Chatsworth, Shallcross, Merebank, Mobeni, Nanoti, with planned expansions to Port Shepstone, Umzinto, Isipingo, Pietermaritzburg, and Richmond.
In just one week, Hope SA has supported 30,000 people through our KZN disaster relief initiative. Our mission is not only to provide immediate aid to families affected by disaster and COVID but also to combat unemployment by creating jobs and offering skills development opportunities.
